The interruption of agricultural activities, and that of
orchards in particular, by constructing the coal loadout
facility, amounted to approximately less than 5 percent of the
pre-mining orchards' area and, therefore, the impact on the
agricultural activities can be looked upon as insignificant.
We believe that the reclamation plan as presented in this
report will restore the essential hydrologic functions of the AVF
to approximately pre-mining conditions. Also, the post-mining
crop production will approximately be equivalent to that of the
pre-mining levels.
*******
•
October 8, 1982
~tec.R,„a~ ~alt,a
Michal Bukovansky
Senior Engineering Geologist
Vladimir Straskraba
Senior Hydrologist
•
23
GEO-HYDRO CONSULTING, INC.
