12/20/79 Memo, p. 5, $1
Surface and Ground Water Monitoring

"1. A surface water monitoring station should be added
to the South Tributary to Foidel Creek upstream of any
disturbance."
EFC Map 14, Eckman Park Hydrology, has been revised
to show surface water sample site 1)33 and weir 83
upstream of any disturbance on the South Tributary
to Foidel Creek. These sites will be monitored
weekly during flow periods as prescribed in
Table 101, Hydrologic Monitoring Schedule.
12/20/79 Memo, p. 5, $2 (Monitoring)
"2. Water quality monitoring for all ground water
stations should be expanded. Have the applicant perform
a full suite of analyses at least annually. (Use the
Montana Guidelines with any modifications suggested by
Dave Holm.)"
This matter was discussed in the meeting between
EFC and MLR staff on January 7, 1980. At that
meeting it was decided that the baseline groundwater
quality data presented in Table 6, Summary of
Energy Fields Corporation Ground Water Quality
Characteristics, Table 4, Statistical Description
of Overburden Chemical Data, and Table 103, Chemical
Analysis of Leachate, would be used to define the
specific elements to be monitored. Until a revised
list B was prepared, it was agreed that EFC would,
at an uunspecified date in the future, meet with OSM
and MLR to develop such revised list. It was decided
that sampling for specific elements on a quarterly
basis was more representative than sampling for a
full suite of analyses annually.
12/20/79 Memo p. 5, $3 (Monitoring)
"3. Map 14 indicates three Bound water monitoring
wells located in areas to be mined. These wells should
