Show <br />boundary of Mine Plan and any current or proposed surface. <br />disturbance for the life of mine. <br />It is suggested that the applicant, or their culturalresources'consul- <br />tant,confer with OSM R CMLR, FILM and the SHPO on inventory and report <br />guidelines so as to minimize misunderstandings and numerous revisions, <br />delays, etc. The person to contact at OSM would be Ms. Judy <br />Schafer (837-5656). <br />13 Geologic Information (783.14) <br />The information submitted under 30 CFR 783.14 is riot sufficient <br />enough to determine the entire geology of the areal. Descri' <br />the geology of the strata from the Cameo down to the first <br />aquifer. Provide strike and dip of Cameo coal; supply data <br />depicting the compaction and erodability bf the strata exposed <br />in the area. Describe how road cuts and face-upslwill be kept <br />from sloughing. <br />Pursuant to 783.14, applicant: <br />r <br />a. Should provide regional cross-section map <br />-~ <br />b. Should indicate density of drill holes <br />c. Should drill cores within the affected and proposed <br />areas. '~ <br />• d. Should provide results of following overburden~~analyses <br />(including stratum below coal): minimum of: particle <br />size, electrical conductivity, sodium absorption ratio, <br />sodium, calcium, magnesium,sulfur (organic andinoraanic;), <br />neutralization potential, and erodability (ifsurface material) <br />for strata immediately above and below conlto be mined. <br />e. Should provide pyritic content and potential alkalinity of <br />stratum immediately above and below coal seam to be mined <br />and the clay content of stratum immediately below coal <br />seam to be mined. <br />f. Should provide analyses of coal: sulfate, pyrite, total <br />sulfur and organic sulfur. <br />g. Provide all drill logs I! <br />Individual results, not means, should be provided. ,g""!°~ <br />Pursuant to 771.23, applicant should provide location oaf spoil and <br />waste material. <br />Provide geologic information related to hydrology in tl~e region and <br />areas adjacent to the Permit Area as required by 30 CFR'~783.13(a). <br />Stratigraphy and geologic structure of these areas should be provided <br />to allow regulatory authority to accurately assess and iiidentify, potential <br />s <br />rpundwater recharge and discharge characteristics. <br />;~ I ~'~S ''. ~i. <br />
