During the <br />baseline environmental studies, no springs or seeps were found to issue from the <br />Trout Creek Sandstone proximate to the mine permit area (see attached table and <br />map). This spring data supports our opinion that in the Dry and Sage Creek drainage <br />basins the outcrop of the Trout Creek Sandstone is not a discharge area but rather a <br />recharge area for the aquifer. <br />In light of the information presented, pumpage of 52 acre feet per year of water from <br />the Trout Creek Sandstone aquifer will have no impact on the Dry or Sage Creek water <br />balance. <br />If you have any questions regarding the enclosed information, please call me at your <br />convenience. <br />Sincerely, <br />Slc~d~-e <br />J.
