02/26/97 16:52 $` • • ~JOOa <br /> <br />-Reclamation activities should be concurrent with mining activity. <br />-ln areas of on~ite topsoil shortages, supplement with appropriate off~ite material <br />(~p~~)• <br />-Align roadways to the extent that stream crossings arc reduced to the absolute minimum <br />feasible. <br />-Reclaim roadways as soon as practical after usefulness ends. <br />stabilize, in appropriate facilities, topsoil excavated from roadways. <br />-Provide effective sediment/dtainage control stmctttres. <br />-Monitor impacts of increased sulfates, TDS, iron, manganese, cadmium, and zinc on the <br />aquatic environment and provide CROW an annual report with appropriate mitigation. <br />-Provide CROW a copy of all water quality monitoring conducted during the life of the <br />mine. <br />-Construct appropriate fencing to exclude livestock grazitlg during vegetation <br />establishment. <br />-Provide bear proof trash containers in all arras when; human habitation will occur. <br />-Construct all fencing to allow free movement of wildlife. <br />The above mentioned recommendations should assist in reducing some of the impacts associated <br />with the proposed action.
