iii iuiuiiiiiu iii
999
STATE OF COLORADO
Roy Romer, Gove~
DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES
MINED LAND RECLAMATION DIVISION
FRED R. BANTA, Dlreetor
DATE: July 1, 1988
T0: Randy Price /~
FROM: Dan Mathews G
RE: Fish Creek Tipple Revegetation Success Standards
File: C-82-056
I have received the amended technical revision proposal addressing
revegetation success standards for the Fish Creek Tipple. The applicant
proposes to use vegetation data collected during 1980, a subnormal
precipitation year and 1982, a normal to above normal (including winter snow
pack) precipitation year. Since reference areas were not established prior to
disturbance, the use of adjacent area date is appropriate and the averaging of
data from a "good" year and a "poor" year yields more appropriate standards
than the use of data from only one year.
I recommend approval of the revision as amended.
DTM/eke
8521E
215 Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street Denver, Colorado 80203-2273 Tel.
