42. On page 2.05-68, it is stated that the quality of the water
contained in springs and seeps will not be diminished by
mining operations. Please comment on the quantity of water in
springs and seeps, considering the potential for ground water
drawdown.
43. The discussion of the probable hydrologic consequences for
surface water and ground water, found on pages 2.05-70 and
2.05-71, concern the quantity of water. Please add a
discussion of the probable hydrologic consequences on the
water quality for surface water and ground water.
44. On page 2.05-68, the possibility is raised that several ponds
may be in the projected angle of draw but that damage would be
minimized by the effects of subsidence. Please comment on
which ponds may be impacted by subsidence and to what degree.
For instance, would dam safety be impacted? If a pond is
rendered inoperable, what contingency plans are there to
restore the integrity of the disturbed runoff treatment
system?
45. The hydrologic monitoring plan is presented on page 2.05-72.
Why are there no surface water monitoring stations on either
Hubbard Creek or Terror Creek?
C:\WP51\BOW2 ADEQ
8
