What they <br />have done is to separate the tipple area and Haul road from the mining <br />activities. The information in the recently submitted application is not new, <br />it is from the materials submitted under C-U36-81 (Permit No. 76-16) and <br />includes responses to previous adequacy concerns. CYCC is proposing to <br />surface mine for two years and production is estimated at 174,000 tons. The <br />ididdle Creek pit is proposed to be backfilled. The life-of-mine is expected <br />to be 5 years at which time reclamation of all areas will be done. CYL'C is <br />also requesting a pernanent impoundment in this submittal which is new. <br />The deadline for completeness is January 23, 1984. The adequacy deadline will <br />be March 23, 1984. I would like to have a draft findings document completed <br />by the March 23 deadline so we can publish soon thereafter, as we nave <br />discussed in our planning meetings. <br />To complete the review process in a timely fashion I will need some <br />assistance.
