SavageS, /~.V /~~~...~
RE: H-G Statistical Analysis of Vegetation
September 17, 1981 Submittal
Brian ,
I have finished analyzing the additional vegetation data submitted by H-G
in response to our discussions with H-G and David Duba of Morrison-Knudsen.
The resampling and additional sampling which was performed satisfies the
vegetative concerns relative to sample adequacy and comparability of baseline
vegetative communities and reference areas. At this point, H-G has adequately
represented the vegetative communities at the mine site, and selected and
adequately sampled reference areas for the aspen, sagebrush, oak, and choke-
cherry communities.
H-G wishes a variance from reestablishment of pre-mine woody plant densities.
They have supplied adequate baseline information to represent the pre-mine
communities. Rt this point, it remains necessary to work out acceptable
reclamation success criteria for woody plant densities for the Hayden Gulch
site,
/mt
