-16- <br />Alluvial Valley Floor Monitoring <br />Monitoring as required by Rule 4.24.5 will be conducted to insure that <br />the essential hydrologic functions of the AVF is preserved during and <br />after operations. Operational monitoring will consist of pond discharge <br />sampling as outlined in Section V: Hydrologic Balance. Surface Water of <br />this Document. <br />The•operatlon is in compliance with the requirements of this section. <br />VIII. Water Rights and Replacement <br />In response to a request by the Division, the applicant provided <br />information regarding water usage and water rights in a letter dated <br />April 19, 1983. The applicant estimates that dust control during <br />screening and loading operations will require a maximum of 19,200 gallons <br />per day and water truck usage will require a maximum of 20,000 gallons <br />per day for a total of 39,200 gallons per day or 43.9 acre feet per <br />year. Terror Creek.Company has adjudicated water rights for water in the <br />Deer Trail Ditch totalling 300 acre feet per year. <br />The operation is in compliance with the requirements of this section. <br />IX. Probable Hydrologic Consequences of Minlng and Cumulative <br />~drolo9lc Effects - Rules 2.05.6(31 and 2.07.6(2)(c) <br />The probable hydrologic consequences of the Terror Creek Load-out are <br />quite limited due to the small size of the disturbance, (less than 8 - <br />acres) the nature of the operation (coal handling and loading only) and ~ <br />the fact that t4+p,eolluvlum upon whlch.ihekf~3c4aities are located is not <br />in direct hydrologic commua~fcatio ~-wfi~~fi~~`•:6~e:Nostp Fvrk alluvial aqulfe4. <br />As stated previously in this document, drainage and sediment control <br />measures to be implemented by the applicant will be sufficient to insure <br />that the quality of water downstream from the site will not be impacted. <br />The only anticipated impact on water quantity is the consumptive use of <br />44 acre feet per year. Fourty-four acre feet per year is approximately <br />.01X of the mean annual flow of the North Fork and 1s considered by the <br />Division to be insignificant. <br />Upon final reclamation, the essential hydrologic functions of the site <br />will be restored. The essential hydrologic function which must be <br />restored within the affected area 1s the capability of the site to <br />support flood irrigated agricultural production levels comparable to <br />pre-disturbance levels. The ma,)or components of the reclamation plan <br />which will insure that this essential hydrologic function is restored are <br />the following: <br /> <br />
