B. Surface Water Information
1. On page 2.04-48 and 2.04-49 of the permit application it is stated
that stream flow records (reduced to mean monthly discharge) from three
stream gaging stations on Foidel, Middle and Fish Creeks are summarized
in Table 28, Surface Water Monitoring Data. These data do not appear in
Table 28 of this permit application. However, historic stream flow data
(through 1980) for these three gaging stations can be found in Table 28
of the original Energy Mine No. 3 permit application submitted by Energy
Fuels Corporation in February, 1981 (CMLRD file No. C-036-81). All
available stream flow data for the gaging stations included in the
proposed hydrologic monitoring plan (Exhibit 15) should be presented in
the permit application. Specifically, data from USGS gaging stations
09243700 and 09243900 should be provided and should include both historic
and current stream flow records for these sites. The Division cannot
overstress the importance of compiling all existing water monitoring
information into one document to facilitate the review process.
RESPONSE:
Monitoring data from gaging stations on Fish Creek are not
applicable to this application. Pages 2.04-48a and 2.04-49a have ~ /
been revised accordingly. Data from IISGS gaging stations 09243700
and 09243900 are included in Table 27, USGS Stream Monitoring Data.
-7-
