<br />Colorado ~lmlted Partnership, 105 East Klowa, Colorado Spr-~
<br />ings, Colorado 80903, has submitted an application to the Col-
<br />orado Mined Lend Reclamation Boartl for the Issuance of a per-
<br />mit to conduct surface mining operations pursuant to the Sur-
<br />face Mining Control and Reclamation Act of 1977, 30 U.S.C. Sec-
<br />tion 1201, et seq. and the Colorado Mined Land Reclernatlon Act
<br />of 1976, 1973 C.R.S. Section 32.11t(2J, p~aeq.
<br />The area which will be the aubjed of surface mining actlvltles
<br />by the Colorado Coal Mlning Company Is located 4 mllee nor•
<br />lhwest oT Walsenburp, Colorado on State Hlphwey No. 69. The
<br />permit area is located in parts of Sectlone 25 end 38: Township
<br />27 South, Renpe 67 West.
<br />The northern boundary of the permit area Is adjacent to Gor•
<br />don Arroyo with the southern boundary south of the Maitland
<br />Arroyo. State Hlghwey No. 69 le coincident Wlth part o1 the
<br />eastern boundary o1 the permit area.
<br />A map showing the exact location end boundaries of the per-
<br />mit area is sal forth below.
<br />The name of the U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 minute
<br />Duadrangle which contains the permit area is the Walsenburp
<br />North puadranple. -
<br />The application for a permitfrom the Colorado Mined Land
<br />Reclamation Board Is on file, end can be examined, at the Off ice
<br />of the Clerk and Recorder, Huerfano County. Colorado, at the

<br />The planned mine will begin operations during the last of 1981
<br />and continue through 1991.
<br />The proposed future use of the land to be affected will be the
<br />same as the preminlnp land use, primarily rangeland. Additional
<br />information regarding the applicatton can be obtained at the Of-
<br />fice of the State of Colorado Mined Lantl Reclamation Board,
<br />723, Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, Col-
<br />oredo80203. Any written comments with respect to the applica-
<br />tion should be filed with the State o1 Colorado Mined Land
