Sf)irley Lindsay, Denver, CO
Energy Project Leader, Lake~vood, CO
Review of Colorado Yampa's Foidel Creek I'line
Permit Revision Application
,.
_.. ~
Jib
_„
.x.71 ,.~ .,i
-_ ~I
.~
lle have reviewed the Permit Revision and believe that the impacts
on wildlife associated with the mine will be minimal. The mine
will be underground and the surface facilities will be located
in an area which was previously disturbed by surface mining. In
addition, the applicant states that there are no golden eagle
nests of Federally-listed threatened or endangered species which
will be affected by the mine. Upon completion of mining, the dis-
turbed area will be returned to its original contour and reseeded
with a mix of native and introduced grass species agreeable to the
DOl•1. Based upon these findings, we have no objection to issuance
of the permit.
'Ae appreciate the opportunity to comment on the revision.
