Date Sept 30 83
•Ref. pages
Ref. map
Stipulation No. 3
DESIGNS CERTIFIED BY-A QUALIFIED RESISTERED PROFESSIONAL
ENGINEER FOR A SEDIMENT PONT FOR THE FACILITIES AREA OR
AN ALTERNATIVE SEDIMENT CONTROL PLAN MUST BE PROVIDED TO
THE DIVISION PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT OF ANY SURFACE MINING
ACTIVITIES IN ACCORDANCE WITH RULE 2.05.3(4).
Reply
The facilities area will be. divided into the coal
processing area and the mine office area. The coal processing
area will consist of a crusher and a conveyor. Drainage from
this area will be controlled by Pond 'K'. The mine office
area will consist of the existing 40 ft by 60 ft vehicle
maintenance shed and an office trailer to be added in the
future. The mine office area is served by an existing
sediment pond and diversion ditches that were not shown on the
original permit application maps. The location and
configuration of the pond are shown on the attached drawings.
The pond, termed Pond 'Z', services an area of about 2.1
acres. This includes an area of prior disturbance. Part of
the disturbed area which is outside the permit boundary drains
to a depression on the south aide of the haul road. A 12 inch
diameter CMP culvert discharges from this depression into
Pryor Canyon Creek at a point just east of Pond 'Z'.
