Company is supplying additional information for the <br />Canadian Strip Mine Permit Application. The information is in <br />regard to the vegetation and reclamation sections of Wyoming Fuel <br />Company's application. It is our understanding that this infor- <br />mation is being supplied to avoid unnecessary stipulations to <br />our mining permit. <br />1. Wyoming Fuel Company will add 3.0 lbs PLS of bitterbrush to <br />the permanent seed mix. Wyoming Fuel Company will notify the <br />regulatory author.itics when Douglas rabbitbrush is available and <br />is to be used in the seed mir.. <br />2. Prior to initiating grazing on the reclaimed land 14yominy <br />Fuel Company will submit a grazing plan to the regulatory author- <br />ities. During the 9th and 10th years of the liability period the <br />reference areas and reclaimed lands will be managed the same. <br />Grazing capacities of the reclaimed land will be based on vegetative <br />analysis obtained during the vegetation monitoring program. <br />Parameters such as spec]es composition, cover, productivity and <br />plant vigor will be utilized to determine stocking rates. <br />3. Any topsoil stockpiles which remain in place for a period of <br />one (1) year or longer will be seeded with the permanent plant <br />species seed mix. <br />4. The BLh1 has raised a question as to the competitive nature of <br />annual rye and has suggested a reduction in the seeding rate of <br />this species to 10 ].bs PLS/acre. Wyonung fuel Company will be <br />evaluating this during the 1982 growing season. If infact annual <br />rye is outcompetinq n~ltives, the annual rye will be reduced during <br />the 1983 planting season. <br />
