Mr. Jim Herron
July 21, 1982
Page 2
Refuse Pile may have been affected. The new ditch has been separated into
two (2) sections. Lower Catch Ditch Number 1 drains to Sediment Pond Number
8 and Lower Catch Ditch Number 2 drains to Sediment Ponds number.
A NPDES Discharge Point #005 has been applied for for Sediment Pond No. 9 on
Colorado Discharge Permit CO-0027146.
CAMEO N0. 1 MINE - See Exhibits 8B, 20, 21
The 24", 1/2 round spillways have been changed. The revised design calls for
36" CMP drop inlets into 36" CMP culverts. Debris skimmers and 6-inch de-
watering devices will be installed on the drop inlet to reflect existing conditions.
UNIT TRAIN LOADOUT - See Exhibits 11B, 21
A 600 gpm portable pump will be available on the property to dewater the ponds
after a 10-year, 24-hour precipitation event.
Upon field inspection it was found that drop inlets had been installed on the
30" CMP that pass through the rail loop at NPDES Discharge Points 009 and 010.
NORTH DECLINE - See Exhibits 126, 21, 22
The drainage channel was revised at the inlet and outlet. The three 48-inch
culverts in the drainage channel were deleted. The inlet of the drainage
channel was widened to realistically fit actual field conditions. The out-
let of the channel was revised to depict where the channel will actually
discharge into the State Highway's channel and culvert. The culverts were
deleted since this access to the North Decline is no longer required.
The West Diversion Ditch No. 2 was deleted. The revised inlet on the drain-
age channel will catch the run-off that the West Diversion Ditch No. 2 was
going to intercept.
If you should have any questions, please contact me.
Sin y ~d~L~
Henry A.
