A Request for a Minor Modification to Permit 76-6-UG/C
Dear Mr. Domingue:
Please excuse Blue Ribbon Coal Company's delinquency in complying with
the division request related to June 3, 1982 Blue Ribbon inspection item
III-2. The inspection report was sent to Bruce Collins, rather than the
Mine Superintendent John Gabossi. Despite this, it was an oversite on our
part not to get the inspection report to Mr. Gabossi.
Blue Ribbon Coal Company submits the following proposal:
The concern of waste material produced from road cut or
embankment sloughage being placed in previously undisturbed
areas will be alleviated. In the future all such material
will be placed in the area just north of Pond 2 (refer to
Exhibit H and the attached portion of Exhibit H for exact
location). This sediment from said material will be contained
in Pond 2. Blue Ribbon Coal Company would also like to main-
tain an alternate right to dispose of small quantities of
said sloughage material in areas previously disturbed if
such sloughage occurs near an area acceptable for such place-
ment. Any disturbed area used in this fashion would also
correctly handle the sediment associated with the sloughage
material after the final modifications of the sediment control
system are completed as designed in permit application C-047-81.
