Responses were prepared by Environmental Alternatives, Inc., and Weaver <br />Engineering Services. <br />1. The application form is edited to reflect approximately 20 acres of disturbed area <br />for the surface facility (Exhibit A). <br />2. The permitting contact address on page three of the application is edited to reflect <br />Environmental Alternatives Inc.'s new office address. <br />3. Mapl and permit text (page 2.03-6 and Exhibit B) are edited to reflect land <br />ownership as of the date of this correspondence. <br />4. Map 1 and permit text are edited to depict structures as of the date of this <br />correspondence. <br />5. MSHA identification will be obtained by the operator who is undetermined at the <br />time of correspondence. <br />6. Personal injury and property damage insurance certificate will be forthcoming <br />(Reserve Exhibit AD) along with permit text on page 2.03-13. <br />7. Ancillary permit information is updated in Section 2.03 on pages 2.03-13 in the <br />permit text. Exhibit W contains the APCD Construction Permit Initial Approval. <br />Exhibit AE contains the Fremont County resolution for a Conditional Use Permit. <br />8. As a result of the permit boundary adjustment, the Horseshoe Coal Mine lies <br />outside the permit boundary. Neither the permit text nor the table has been <br />edited. <br />9. Metcalfe Archaeological Consultants performed a cultural survey during the week <br />of Apri12, 2007. Exhibit AF contains the final report of the surface facilities and <br />vertical cliff faces within the permit area. <br />10. Roof and floor material was obtained during recent coring in April and May. The <br />chemical analysis will be provided upon receipt from analytical laboratory. <br />Exhibit AG is reserved for the analytical data. <br />11. Material from the stratum immediately above and below the coal seam was <br />obtained during recent coring in April and May.
