The Technical Analysis (T.A.J pre parerl by the O.S.M. February 22, 1980, <br />was referred to during the review. Listed below are the Division's comments, <br />presented under the applicable State rule. <br />S.R. 4.15.7(3)fb) - Reveaetation: Standards for Success <br />1. in response to special stipulation number 9, the permittee provided an <br />adequate statistical comparison between the 6 vegetation types and their <br />corresponding reference areas, On page 16 of the T.A., it says reference <br />areas will be located in Section 34, Township 4 North, Range 87 West, but on <br />Maps 15 and 16, they are shown throughout the permit area. Please verify, on a <br />necv map if necessary, the exact Locations of the reference areas sampled in <br />response to stipulation number 9. <br />S.R. 4.15.8 - Revevetation Success Criteria <br />2. Colorado Yampa states that the woody plant density was approved at <br />500 stems/acre as reported in response to special stipulations 9 and 11. The <br />Division cannot locate an approval for this density, or any correspondence <br />concerning the stipulations and woody plant density during the permit review <br />process. Therefore, Colorado Yampa must provide documentation of the approval <br />and/or justification for 500 stemsJacre. <br />3. In response to special stipulation number 9, the permittee pro vic7ed <br />diversity values for each community using the Shannon-Weiner .index. With <br />respect to the data, what constitutes a major species?
