1 w
Task # 4 -Compaction of portal bench and access road cut. The size of
the water truck was reduced from 7,000 gallons to 3,500
gallons, resulting in an hourly truck cost reduction from
$99.77/hr to 550.70/hr. This worked out to a task cost
reduction from $16,297.36 to $12,009.13.
Task #11 - Portal sealing and backfilling. The number of entries was
reduced from 4 to 3 (one has been sealed), and the dimension
of each entry was reduced from 20'w x 8'h to 20'w x 6'h: The
net effect of these changes on the estimate was a reduction in
cost from $7,104.00 to E3, 996.00.
Task #12 - Structural demolition work. The coal bin storage structures
and scale were deleted from the estimate as these will be left
on-site as part of the proposed post-mining land use (hay
storage). The proposed conveyor system and coal bin
superstructure (sorter/crusher) were added to the estimate:
The net effect of these changes on the structural demolition
estimate was a reduction in cost from 55,599.54 to $4;569:88:
Task #14 - Mobilization/Demobilization. The estimate cost for
transporting the water truck to and from the job site was
reduced from 5299.91 to $152.10, resulting in a net task cost
reduction from $2,499.42 to $2,351.61.
As can be seen from the attached revised reclamation cost summary worksheet;
the net effect of these changes is to reduce total estimate reclamation costs
from $68,300.00 to 558,200.00.
The applicant needs to revise appropriate sections of the permit application
to reflect these recent amendments to estimated reclamation costs:
/sak
9477E
