One of these, 5DT122,
the town of Bowie, has been determined eligible to the National
Register of Historic Places.
We recommend that cultural resource surveys take place in those
areas where ground disturbing activities will take place, i.e.
portals, waste piles, vents, exploratory holes, etc. There should
also be a 10$ survey in the areas of subsidence to determine if
rock art, standing structures or prehistoric sites will be
affected.
Zf federal minerals or land are involved the agency archaeologist
must be contacted to determine what federal actions need to be
undertaken.
Thank you for the opportunity to comment on this project. If we
may be of further assistance please contact Jim Green at (303) 866-
4674.
S' erely,
~..~~.~t
James E. Hartmann
State Historic Preservation Officer
