Topography <br />Topography and landforms of the mined areas would be <br />modified slightly due to the removal of natural irregu- <br />larities including small tributary stream valleys and <br />replacement with a man-made surface and drainage where <br />necessary. Although the mine sites would be returned <br />to their approximate original contours, the general <br />surface would be expected to stand slightly higher <br />because of the increase in overburden bulk resulting <br />from breaking up the original beds of rock and moving <br />them.
