Yesterday, Karen
Tomb of our office spoke with Dan Mathews, one of your
Reclamation Specialists, regarding extending the date,
pursuant to 2.07.4(2)(b), for a proposed decision on the
permit application for the mine and Loadout. Under the
regulations, the Division may extend for sixty (60) days the
proposed decision, which otherwise would issue within 120
days of the filing of the application.
Mr. Mathews indicated that pursuant to Division
practice a letter extending for sixty (60) days the proposed
decision on the North Thompson Creek Mine and Loadout appli-
cation would be forthcoming since necessary information was
still being assembled and evaluated. Although Mr. Mathews
assured us that we need not file a formal request for that
extension, we are confirming by this letter this commitment
that the proposed decision will now issue sometime within
the 60-day extension and not be made at the end of the
initial 120-day review period.
Thank you for your attend this er.
Very trul yours
David W.
