Pursuant to the requirement of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation
Act* to inform counties and certain municipalities of surface coal mining
and reclamation permit applications, please know that Colorado Pampa Coal
~omnanu, File No. C-056-82 has filed to conduct underground
coal mining at Sections 19, 29, 30 and 31, TSN, R86P1, 6th P.M.
The deadline for persons to file statements regarding this operation, or
to petition for a hearing before the Mined Land Reclamation Board to
consider the granting of a permit is set by law; for information, please
call this office.
The applicants are required to place a copy of the application for
public inspection with the county in which fire proposed mine is situated.
It is the Board's understanding that the Act intends for the application
to be made available for public review and comment in an area close to
the mine; it is not intended that it be made a part of public record
by recording.
We appreciate your cooperation in this matter and will be happy to
answer any questions.
