We also received a letter from Mr. Zoll
that he intended to file such an objection.
informing us that
objection to our
informing us
We have responded to Mr. Zoll and copies of the correspondence are
attached. In reviewing the files in our office it appears that we have had
some dealing with Mr. Zoll in the past. Apparently, the property in question
was for sale on the open market at a price of $50,000. Colorado Westmoreland
Inc. had expressed an interest in the property at that price as a possible site
for employee housing. However, as you can tell from Page 2 of Mr. Zoll's
letter of July 12, 1977, (copy also attached) when he discovered that Colorado
Westmoreland Inc. was a possible purchaser, he suddenly increased the price to
$75,000. We indicated that we were not interested in the property at the
inflated figure.
I will not attempt to draw any conclusions as to why Mr. Zoll has filed
this objection. Colorado Westmoreland Inc. has attempted to deal fairly with
each and every adjacent landowner and we feel that we are on good terms with
everyone who actually lives in the vicinity of our operation. This is the
only objection we have received from the forty-five adjacent landowners.
