It was disturbing to see the dis- <br />turbance and mes eek as a result o culvert placement, <br />roa cons oa s a piling eneral constr°uction. 'Ilse result of <br />t is work will soils and r~a~ inter i~ ~r,F,~rd Creek which will <br />impact the trout fishery in the creek. ~ <br />These disturbed areas should be stabilized with riprap and .tome type of vege- <br />tation. Contact should be made with the Corps of Engineers ~in frand Junction, <br />as the work which was done during road construction 4,~as "in violation of <br />Federal Water Quality Regulations, and corrective measures should be taken to <br />correct further silting problems to Hubbard Creek. I~laceinent of boulders through- <br />out the disturbed stream section after bank stabilization would help mitigate <br />damages already done to the stream. <br />We did discuss our concerns with persormel at the mine site ar~d i~ointed out the <br />problems.
