Box 161 <br />Silt, Colorado 81652 <br />Dear Mr. Self: <br />Outlined below are the Division's concerns with regard to surface hydrology <br />and sediment control for the Eastside Mine. The Office of Surface Mining has <br />expressed concern with regard to sediment control for the equipment storage <br />area south of the yard area. Our response was that the proposed yard area <br />sediment pond would be reviewed and constructed expeditiously. Your prompt <br />response to the following items is requested. Sediment pond construction can <br />be authorized under the exploration permit.
