.- <br />-3- <br />7) a hydrologic monitoring system and plan to monitor the essential <br />hydrologic function of the AVF's prior to construction and during <br />operation, <br />8) a map of sub-irrigated areas of the AVF's with documentation from <br />ground water monitoring data, water quality, soil moisture <br />measurements, measurements of rooting depths, soil mottling, and/or <br />water requirements of vegetation, <br />9) a determination of the significance of disturbances on the AVF's to <br />the agricultural activities of each farming unit, <br />10) a quantitative assessment of the affects of the coal processing waste <br />disposal pile and all surface facilities and impoundments on the <br />quality and quantity of surface and ground waters supplying the AVF's, <br />11) a description of the methods which will be used to restore the <br />essential hydrologic functions of those areas of the AVF's disturbed <br />during the construction and operation of the mine, <br />12) a detailed description of the relief, slope and density of the <br />Irrigation network and drainage channels, <br />13) a map showing the areas along the Colorado River which are irrigated <br />by water from the Vulcan Ditch and a narrative description, <br />14) the effect of using water from the Vulcan Ditch by the mining <br />operation on the quantity of water currently required to Irrigate <br />other alluvial valley floors along the Colorado River (e.g. drying <br />them up). <br />Operations Plan - Rule 2.05 <br />Additional details are needed in the operations plan and description of the <br />surface facilities. The Division must have a complete mine plan in order to <br />assess the impacts of mining. <br />This adequacy review is very preliminary.
