Limp <br />Di.•iaon Dmv n•i <br />In the recent past, some efforts have been focused on attempting to <br />get the Mt. Harris Loadout site in Routt County reclaimed. As you <br />may recall, this site is not formally permitted through our office <br />and as a result leaves the State in a somewhat precarious position. <br />Through cooperative efforts between the operator and landowner, the <br />Routt County engineering office and the Division, the following <br />tasks have been completed: <br />* Loadout conveyors dismantled and most hauled off <br />* Coal fines removed and hauled to the Seneca pit <br />This work has been accomplished with very little intervention on <br />our part. To-date all parties have been very willing to cooperate <br />and inform the Division of activities. <br />An estimate of the remaining work is as follows: <br />* Remove remaining steel from crushing equipment <br />* Remove and dispose of remaining junk and lumber <br />* Scrape remaining 6-10 inch layer of coal and haul to Seneca pit <br />* Push out subsoil in ramps and small eastern pile <br />* Seed and\or cover site with gravel as industrial site <br />Past activities have been conducted through dealings with Mr. <br />Robert Gleason of Steamboat Springs. However, recent attempts to <br />contact him have failed and local sources say he has moved to <br />Florida. I doubt that he will be doing any more work at the site. <br />Perhaps Representative Taylor will be able to either contact Mr. <br />Gleason, or arrange to have the remaining work accomplished. I <br />would suspect that the county may be willing to remove and haul the <br />
