Long
Divrswn Director
I talked with Tom about our maintenance concerns at the Loadout
discovered during our inspection on March 18, 1993. I informed him
that a notice of violation would not be issued at this time,
horaever, that a violation will be written should the problem
degrade in the future.
I requested that HGTI submit a revision to address our maintenance
concerns about the sediment control system at the Loadout after the
permit is issued, including:
1. A designation of areas to push snow to during snow
removal.
2. A reevaluation of overall drainage control on the site,
particularly as it impacts waters collecting around the
crusher building.
3. Absence on the ground of the northwest extension of the
south perimeter ditch (northwest of culvert HG-2), as
shown on proposed Surface Water Control Plan Map.
4. Possible relocation of outside truck loop ditch.
5. Contributions to fresh water ditches and tie-across road
ditches, including runoff from electric substation.
6. Any other modifications needed to reduce maintenance
concerns at the site.
