~. - ~~ P•act 2/7
been in place for approximately ten years. Site construction
will improve the area by 1) providing drainage, 2) removing some
of the weight from the fill and 3) providing erosion control,
The analysis contained herevrith is approximate but should serve
as a guideline for judging the safety of the embankments.
Factors of safety have been shown for the fills when subjected
to seepage conditions. Seepage is not expected, and factors
of safety derived therefrom should only be used as a basis of
comparison.
A worst case section for the access road was examined and is
shovrn on page 7/7. The cut is in a rock outcrop and basically
amounts to trimming a portion of a knob protruding into the
existing road, Minor trimming of the outcrop is required to
provide room for a roadside drainage ditch for approximately
700 ft, on the upper portion of the road. No major stability
problems are anticipated,
Existing slopes should be periodically observed to detect movement
in the fill.
RECESVE®
OCT 2G 1983
MINED LAND RECLAMATIOPI DIVISION
Colo.
