Powderhorn Coal Company, P. 0. Box 1430, Palisade, CO 81526,
has filed with the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board
an application for transfer of ownership of Development and
Extraction Mining Permit Number 77-442 and pending permit
number C-041-81 associated with the Roadside and Cameo No. 1
Mines and their surface operations and facilities. The
permit area covered by these two permits is located at Cameo,
Colorado, three miles north of Palisade, Colorado and split
by Interstate 70 and the Colorado River and encompassed
within the following lands: T10S, R96W, 6th PM, Sections
20, 21, 22, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29, 34 and 35 and T115, R98W,
6th PM, Sections 1 and 2. The location of the permit area
is contained in the U. S. Geological Survey 7.5 minute Cameo
Quadrangle map.
The owner of areas to be affected by the surface operations
and facilities is the Powderhorn Properties Company. A
copy of the application for transfer is available for public
inspection at the Mesa County Clerk and Recorders Office,
Mesa County Courthouse, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501.
