c~ ~~ <br /> <br />NOTICE OF PROPOSED DECISION <br />The Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division proposes to approved an <br />application for a permit to conduct coal mining and reclamation operations <br />submitted by Lillylands, Inc. for the Hamilton Mine. <br />The Hamilton Mine operation is located in Montrose County, approximately <br />2 miles from Naturita, Colorado. The mine is a surface mine with an. <br />anticipated maximum production capacity of 300,000 tons per year. The coal to <br />be mined is privately owned, and the surface to be affected is privately <br />owned. The permit area encompasses approximately 677.0 acres in E 1/2, E 1/2 <br />Section 32 and W 1/2 Section 33, Township 46N, Range 15W; NW 1/4 Section 4 and <br />E 1/2, NE 1/4 Section 5, Township 45 North, Range 15 West of the New Mexico <br />Principle Meridian. <br />This proposed approval decision is based on a finding that the proposed <br />operation will comply with all requirements of the Colorado Surface Coal <br />Mining Reclamation Act, C.R.S. 34-33-101, et seq., and the regulations <br />promulgated thereunder. <br />Copies of the proposed decision, are on file for public inspection at the <br />Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division, Room 215, Centennial Building, 1313 <br />Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado 80203 and at the County Clerk's Office in <br />Montrose County, Box 1289, 301 South 1st Street, Montrose, CO and the Montrose <br />County Courthouse Annex in Nucla, CO. Persons with an interest that may be <br />adversely affected by the proposed decision may request a formal hearing <br />before the Mined Land Reclamation Board on the proposed decision. Such <br />request must be made within thirty (30) days of the initial publication of <br />this notice, must be in writing, and must state with reasonable specificity <br />the reasons for the request and the objections to the proposed decision. <br />4115G <br />
