O. Box 1425, Durango, Colorado 81301, was deemed <br />complete for the purpose of filing. A11 review and comment periods as <br />provided in the Act and Regulations promulgated thereunder initiate from <br />day of filing. <br />Land <br />this <br />The applicant purposes to conduct underground coal mining operations under <br />private leases. Mining started at this location approximately forty (40) <br />years ago. For the last couple of years, the mine has only produced coal on a <br />sporadic basis for personal usage of Mr. Fidel Lobato, President of 81ue Flame <br />Coal Company. Approximately three (3) acres of land surface has been <br />disturbed at this site; no further surface disturbance is planned. <br />The mine is located in Hay Gulch, southwest of Hesperus in La Plata County, <br />immediately ad,~acent to the National King Coal site. More specifically, the <br />Blue Flame Coal Mine is located in the Northwest Quarter of the Northeast <br />Quarter of Section 31, Township 35 North, Range 11 West, New Mexico Principal <br />Meridian <br />A copy of the application is available for public inspection at either the La <br />Plata County Courthouse, 1060 Second Avenue, Durango, Colorado 81301, or at <br />the offices of Mined Land Reclamation Division, Room 423, 1313 Sherman Street, <br />Denver, Colorado 80203.
