(CWI) request (November 15, 1979) <br />to modify tl~e Orchard Valley mine plan to allow for a temporary coal storage <br />area. <br />I have determined based on staff review that the proposed change is a minor <br />modification of the approved plan. Therefore, this letter is approval to use <br />the area designated as an emergency stockpile area on map C-1 of your <br />submittal as a temporary coal storage area provtded I receive your written <br />acceptance of the following additional stipulations: <br />1) notify OSM whenever coal will be stored in the area and the time <br />period of use (see ll2); <br />2) the period of time that coal can be added to the stockpile shall not <br />exceed 30 consecutive days; <br />3) all coal shall be removed from the stockpile within 30 days after the <br />end of the time period given in ill, and; <br />4) drainage from the stockpile shall be diverted to the retention and <br />sediment pond located near the rail load-ouC facilities. <br />Sincerely, <br />DONALD A.
