It is seen in the fore- <br />ground-middleground zone of County Road 27 and has a low <br />sensitivity level. VRM class IV is assigned to the type. <br />Mountain Shrubs Steep Slopes <br />Steep slopes sparsely vegetated by various mountain shrub <br />species and sagebrush make up this landscape type. Highly <br />irregular masses of oak, chokecherry, and serviceberry show <br />shades of green in summer, yellow and red in fall, and pur- <br />ple-brown during winter. Light buff colored rock outcrops <br />create horizontal lines that follow the natural contours of <br />the slope. The type has a coarse texture in the foreground <br />and middleground. Man-made structures and water are both <br />absent in this landscape type. VRM Class III is assigned to <br />this type. This area has a B or characteristic scenic quality <br />rating, a moderate level of sensitivity, and can be seen in <br />the foreground-middleground zone from county roads. <br />The following is a discussion of the inventory and evaluation of <br />the visual resources on application C-22676. <br />Sagebrush Minimal Relief <br />The landform is generally flat to gently rolling, lacking variety <br />except where dissected by water drainage. Vegetation consists <br />primarily of sagebrush and grasses, having a grey to pale green <br />and brown color. Texture is fine when viewed from middle <br />distances (from about '~ to five miles).
