<br />Soil Series <br />Abor Series <br />-Abor silty clay, 12 to 25 percent slope 94E) <br />Refer to Description of the Environment, page <br />EII-21, Site-Specific Analysis, Northwest Colorado <br />Coal Regional Environmental Statement. <br />Coberly Series <br />- Coberly channery loam, 72 to 25 percent slope <br />(13E) <br />The Coberly series is moderately deep and well <br />drained, forming on gently sloping to sloping <br />uplands in sandy material weathered from <br />interbedded sandstone and shale. <br />Coberly soils have a very dark grayish brown <br />channery loam surface layer about 6 inches thick. <br />The subsoil is sandy loam about 18 inches thick and <br />a substratum of dark grayish brown sandy loam to <br />interbedded sandstone and shale near a depth of 30 <br />inches. <br />Erosion hazard is high, surface runoff very rapid, <br />permeability is rapid, and available water holding <br />capacity is very low.
