The
coal would be crushed to less than 2 inches and placed onto
the 700,000 ton stockpile. The stockpile would then feed
directly to the unit train load-out facility.
Reclamation
The reclamation plan includes all lands affected by the
proposed expansion of Energy Mines 1 and 3. The lands
affected are presently used for domestic livestock grazing,
wildlife grazing, and wildlife habitat, with limited
agricultural uses, such as hay meadow.
The mined land will be returned to the original use, speci-
fically, domestic livestock, xildlife habitat, and farming,
These uses conform to surrounding land use, Part of the
land not suited for farming due to steep slopes will be
returned to grazing, The plan must establish a permanent
diverse vegetative community capable of supporting both
wildlife and domestic grazing on land not planned for return
to farming,
The area would be graded with crawler tractors, with the
spoil slopes and ridges being reduced to an undulating
topography, consistent with the surrounding area. Time lag
between the on-going operation and grading would normally be
two to three spoil ridges, with a maximum of four at any one
13
