Peabody Coal Company (PCC) under-
stands that additional information of a minor nature is being requested by the Division.
It is also PCC's understanding that this requested information will be in writing to ovoid
any inconsistencies attributed to verbal communication. As of this date, PCC has not
received this letter.
Per your recommendation for PCC to request a delay in the decision-making process to
allow time for submission and review of the additional information, PCC hereby requests
the decision regarding permit approval be extended to no later than July 22, 1985.
Peabody Coal Company would like to emphasize the critical nature of the time element
involved in this matter. If the decision is to approve the application and the permit is
subsequently granted, there are a number of construction projects that must be com-
pleted this year prior to the setting in of inclement weather.
Should you have any questions, please contact me.
Sincerely,
Tom Wainwright
Colorado Project Manager
kmt
c: Joe Lake
Jim Lunan
