Wiggins and/or Delagua Coal Co. As you may know,
Delagua was subsequently succeeded as Operator by Triad, Inc.
and Triad, in turn, by Trinidad Basin P4ining. I understand
further that the Limited Impact Permits have been merged in a
regular permit which has been fully bonded by the present
operator.
One of the Limited Impact Permits, I think the oldest one, was
bonded by a letter of credit, No. 1350, issued by the First
National Bank of Trinidad, Colorado. This letter of credit has
an expiration date of June 23, 1982. In order to cancel that
letter of credit and release the underlying obligation, Delagua
Coal Co. and Alvin E. Wiggins must present to the underwriter a
release of the reclamation bond which is secured by this letter
of credit.
I believe this is all ancient history and it was just an over-
sight that a formal release of the bond was not made. Your
early attention would be greatly appreciated.
ery truly you s
erald D. Sjaastad
GDS:dc
