tior~ using the data from Table 2 was tried. Assuming that the
5.5:1 overburden to coal ratio given by the applicant (page 26
of 'iection 2.05 and page 7 of Addendum II) is correct, the equa-
tion for calculating coal volumes removed, based on the total
volume of coal plus overburden removed, is as follows:
Tons Coal = 1.12 (Total Volume Removed/ 1.16)
Using this equation the following yearly coal removal volumes
were calculated.
Year Coal Volume
1981 182,000 Tons
1982 260,000 Tons
1983 275,00 Tons
1984 300,000 Tons
1985 150,000 Tons
The total coal volume proposed for excavation using this
inettiod of calculation is 1,167,000 tons which also does not agree
with the total proposed coal production from paye 25 of Volume 1
of the permit application.
Because of the problems with trying to verify the reclaimed
contours, overburden quantities and coal quantities, and the dis-
crepancies between data presented on the various pages, tables
and figures of the present permit application, the following
stipulaton is proposed.
Within 60 days of the granting of the permit (and before
beginning mining operations in Pit 21 the applicant must submit
the following: //
o A map or maps shoring the pits and reclaimed contours in
Pit 2 as they will exist at the end of each year.
