INTRODUCTION
In March, 1979, an agreement was reached between Western State Collene
and Macar Lorporation to collect samples from the 0 C Mine, have the samples
' analyzed, and have the data supplied to Macar Corporation.
In August, 1979, an agreement wa:: reached between Flu+co A. I~'crchau, Inc. ,
' and Macar Corporation to do additional water sampling, to collect :oils data
to determine the vegetation of the :>rea, and to provide a rec]amntipn proposa].
' Because of the lateness of the season, some of the data is beinf, presented in
a preliminary report; an addendum and clarification will be provided in
July, 1980.
Because this report is presented as a part of a package, and because
other components of the package have provided particulars re~•,ard~ing the mine,
' no attempt will be made to repeat that information.
' WATER ANALYSIS
Sampling sites were selected within the mine for the March s.unp].in~*.
' Parameters to be considered are: cadmium, sodium, lead, manganese, zinc,
' selenium, nitrate, chloride, sulfate, and sulfide. Parameters added in
October, 1979, for the Nu-Mine adit and the O C Mine workings which flow
' out of the Nu-Mine adit (to be sampled only once per year) are: Total
Suspended Solids, Total Dissolved Solids, pll, and Rlectrica7. Conducti.v.ity.
