The uncovered coal was then drilled, blaster <br />and hauled to the tipple site. All available topsoil was <br />stripped prior to any mining-related disturbances. <br />1. Spoil Replacement and Grading <br />Mining commenced at a point slightly west of the <br />1/4 corner of Sections 1 and 2. t9ining progressed from ~he <br />coal outcrop downhill.in a westerly direction to a point <br />where the coal became too deep to economically strip, t!:_n <br />proceeded in an'easterly direction along the ridge into <br />Section 2.
