a <br />T <br />• • <br />Mr. Jerry Koblitz <br />September 18, 1981 <br />Page Two <br />Common wildmillet (Echinochloa crusgalli) and sago pondweed (Potamo eton pectinitus) <br />are good food sources for waterfowl according to Martin, et.al. 1951 <br />Obviously many of the plant species mentioned must be planted below the low <br />water line. Other species Nould do best in seasonally flooded mud flats. I have <br />attempted to list as many species as possible for your consideration, but I do not <br />consider this list complete. I•tike Grode or I would be happy to consider substitutions <br />if you come across something better. I personally consider the list developed from <br />Ecology ,Consultants, Inc. (1976) to be most appropriate since their transects were <br />located in Big Salt Wash just east of your site. }lope this helps you out.
