It is our belief that no alluvial
valley floors exist within the permit boundary and that the Grassy Creek
Coal Mine does not impact alluvial valley floors in the vicinity. The
information we supplied you on September 8 supports this belief.
We would appreciate a statement from you acknowledging your concurrence
with our findings and that no additional information on alluvial valley
floors need be gathered. I would like to include this statement in the
pending repermitting application being prepared for the Rockcastle Company.
If you need additional information or would like to visit the mine, we
will be happy to cooperate with you. Please feel free to contact me regarding
this issue.
Very truly yours,
Tommy D. Raye
cc: Al Miller
Progress Within Elnvironweratal Ihlern~rcex
