Pewit C-84-062 <br />Per our discussion of 12 July 1990, CYCC wishes to delay replacenent.of the silt <br />fence above the Hanestead Ditch until after the next inspection of Mine 3 by the <br />Division. Rhe reaS0175 for this request are as follows: <br />i) CYCC feels that replaoemesrt of the entire 1500 ft silt fence is not <br />warranted by current conditions. Father, selective replac~nent of sections <br />requiring further control (if any) would seen more prudent, given the <br />disturbance associated with the replaar~nent of silt fenoPS, and <br />2) CYCC and the Division have not yet agreed to a criteria governing the <br />removal of silt fences under cirrzunstances such as these. <br />CYCC feels that these isg~~ would be better addressed following the next on- <br />site inspection of Mine 3, therefore it is our intention to delay replaoarnnt <br />of the silt fence until such time. <br />Should you have questions, please feel free to contact me. <br />Sincerely, <br />MaraLS A.
