Ivanhoe Street ~ Denver, CO 80222-0166 ~ 692-0922
January 6, 1982
Mined Land Reclamation
Room 423
1313 Sherman St.
Denver, CO 80203
Attn: Mike Sauvage
Dear Mike:
~ ~I r.
- ,
The following comments are in the behalf of Trinidad Basin Mining Company:
1. Request approval of placement of a culvert at the location noted on
the attached drawing. The culvert is to be placed 30" above the bottom
of the embankment used to bridge the drainage channel in order to allow
vehicle travel to the mining area on the west side of the channei. The
desion calculations are attached.
2. Request approval of a technical revision to a17ow the additional three
phases as shown on the attached drawing. Alike size area will not be
mined in the southerly area. The mining and reclamation plans are in
accordance with the revised mining and reclamation plan undergoing review
at the present time. Drainage will be routed from the mined area into
the embankment mentioned in paragraph 1 to allow settlement of any pos-
sible sediment. Please note that this mining operation will be for a
short period of time, approximately six months.
3. The drainage design at the coal loadout facility was inspected by me
on Monday, December 7, 1981, and was found to be constructed in accordance
with the approved design.
Your earliest favorable consideration of these comments will be appreciated
Sincerely,
RIN~ASSOCIATES
filbert F.
