Baldea: <br /> <br />III III IIIIIIIIIIIII <br />i would like to thank you for your recent application fot a mining-reclafea- <br />tion permit. In reviewing the above mentioned permit application, I have <br />come across several items which are not currently adequate for board pze^ <br />aentaClon. These items discussed below must he received prior to your <br />scheduled board date, Oct. 27, 1977. <br />1. The map moat clearly show the location of the affected land and any <br />access routes. "Inman of all fmmediately adjacent surface owners moat <br />be shown. <br />2.~The mining plan moat be more detailed. It should include an apptoaimate <br />timetable of operations indicating pour best estimate of when the <br />operations will cease. Information should be included in the mining <br />plan concerning the eateat of present surface disturbance including <br />buildings, tipples, access roe e, settling ponds ate. Additionally <br />you should include a brief narrative describiaR the method of mining <br />and how the coal is handled on the surface. <br />3. Your baseline information included in Exhibit D m}}tteet ba more detailed. <br />I would urge you to contact your local 1711d11idiConaervation officer <br />Por an analysis of the impact of your operation on wildlife iy-~he _ <br />area and any reclamation recommendations be may have. Soil~fand <br />vegetation information along with reclamation suggestions should be <br />obtained from the Soil Conservation Service. <br />4. Exhibit 2, the reclamation plan, needs to be more specific. I appreciate <br />pour inclusion of an alternate reclamation plea coveting the possibility <br />that your mushroom farm concept falls through. Nora detailed informa- <br />tion ie required however concerning the actual reclamation measures to <br />be taken. These would include revegetation techniques, fertillaation <br />seeding mixtarea, topsoiling,measures if aaq, building removalf grading <br />technignea for sealing the portal, and the availability of any necesalry <br />fill material.
