Dear Mr. Self ,
We have received your plication revised application for a permit to conduct
coal mining in Colorado. nitial review indicates that all preliminary
items required oy the Colorado Surface Coal dining Reclamation Act, C.R.S.
1973, 3d-33-lul et sew. nave oeen suomitted. Thus, your application has been
deemed complete for the purposes of filing on this date. All review and
comment periods as provided in the Act and the Regulations promulgated
thereunder initiate from this gate of filing.
Unless notification to the contrary accompanies this letter, the proposed
newspaper advertisement submitted with the application has been found to be
satisfactory. You should commence publication of this advertisement as
specified in Rule 2.07.3(2) of the Regulations. Proof of the puolication of
the advertisement must be filed with the Oivlsion not later than four weeks
after the last publication date.
A copy of the application, less confidential items, must oe filed for puolic
inspection with the appropriate public office as specified by you on the
application form. Any suosequent changes or additions to the application must
also be made in this local government Copy.
The staff is currently revie~.ving your application to determine whether the
items you have submitted are adequate in terns of meeting the requirements of
the Act and Regulations. Additional information may be required for purposes
of adequacy. According to the provisions of Section 34-33-118(5) of the Act,
you will oe notified no later than July 23 1984 of this
Division's preliminary findings as to the suostantive adequacy or inadequacy
of your application.
