<br />1 <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />1 <br />i 1 <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />S.R. 4.15.8 REVEGETATION SUCCESS CRITERIA <br />(Federal Regulations do not provide specifically comparable <br />text.) <br />RESPONSE TO S.R. 4.15.8 <br />Revegetation success criteria for the plant <br />parameters of cover, production, species diversity <br />and woody plant density have been reported in <br />Energy Fuels Permit No. 79-177 and in Special <br />Stipulations 9 and 11 submitted August 9, 1980, to <br />Mr. Fred R. Banta, MLRD, and Mr. Donald A. Crane, <br />OSM. The success standard approved for woody <br />plant density was 500 stems per acre. This den- <br />sity, which is less than the croody plant densities <br />on the reference areas, was accented by the regu- <br />latory authorities during the permit review pro- <br />cess as meeting the postmining land use. The <br />standards for the plant parameters of cover, pro- <br />duction and diversity are based on the reference <br />area values. <br />-13- <br />
